This is a shift lever spring built to the Mack 116KD11 number for the manual transmission gear shift mechanism on Mack Universal applications. Our parts manual lists it as Spring, Lever, item 5 in the Shifter Lever assembly of the Mack Transmission Shifter and Valve Components. It supplies return tension that holds the lever in position and helps guide it back to neutral or a set gear. When a shifter spring breaks, the lever loses its normal resistance side to side and no longer springs back to center. Sold individually, one each, as sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
