The Chelsea 489DSMAX-56XV is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The Chelsea 489 Series PTO shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series, providing the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity in a one-piece housing. The series features tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Twenty-seven output options are available across the series, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline fretting and corrosion. Eleven internal speed ratios are offered across the series lineup.
