The Chelsea 489GFAHX-A3GH is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths and cutting installation time. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and features a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
