The Chelsea 489KQAHX-A3AZ is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec transmissions without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate common on other installations, reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft and output power of 46-55 HP, with a wire/cable mechanical shift and a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. Tapered bearings provide load capacity comparable to the 442 Series. Applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal, and fire and rescue equipment.
