The Chelsea 278XBFJV-D3ZY or 278XBFJVD3ZY is a Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 278 Series, engineered for Allison and CAT automatic transmissions fitted with 10-bolt PTO apertures. The 278 Series used a hydraulic PowerShift (electric-over-hydraulic) shift type and moved the output shaft up and away from the PTO aperture pad to provide additional pump clearance when direct-mounting a hydraulic pump to the transmission. The series offered a 1-1/4" round shaft output with a key, along with other output options, and featured internal bearing lubrication for extended service life. Applications for this series included refuse, aerial, fire and rescue, and snow and ice removal. Note: Parker Chelsea has phased out the 278 Series. The Chelsea 278 Series was designed to address pump clearance challenges in refuse, aerial, fire and rescue, and snow and ice removal applications. By repositioning the output shaft up and away from the PTO aperture pad, the 278 Series allowed more direct-mount pump clearance compared to the earlier 277 Series.
