281GBFJP-E8XV Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJP-E8XV or 281GBFJPE8XV, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. An evolution of the widely used 280 Series, the 281 brings a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch-pack steel disc for resistance to premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. The rotatable cast-iron pump flanges reduce interference issues, and the optional wet spline lubrication delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
