The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282KCAJX-P5RK or 282KCAJXP5RK, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO with pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key and is driven through a design rated for up to 300 lb-ft intermittent torque (401-500 Nm) with continuous-duty capability at the same rating. Shaft power reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and 29 HP at 500 RPM (43 kW and 21 kW respectively). Compatible with Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and select other transmissions, the 282 Series covers aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications. An integral air valve, rotatable flanges, optional wet-spline lubrication, and a Smart Start option for high-torque engagement are built into the series design.
