The Chelsea 282 Series PTO Assembly, part number 282XCDAX-P5BD or 282XCDAXP5BD, is a medium-duty hot-shift power take-off designed for demanding vocational applications. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. The 282 Series carries a continuous-duty torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Common applications include aerial, towing and recovery, construction equipment, water trucks, and home fuel oil delivery.
