The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFABX-A3XK or 489XFABXA3XK, is an 8-bolt PTO designed for manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Internal parts are shared with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
