The Muncie SH8S-U6805-M1PX or SH8SU6805M1PX is an SH Series power take-off built for high-torque applications, positioned between the TG and 82 Series in Muncie's lineup. The integral air shift design keeps the air cylinder fully enclosed inside the housing, eliminating exposed external hardware. The 8-bolt cast iron housing makes mounting straightforward and keeps the unit rigid under load. Five available speed ratios cover a range of duty cycles, with intermittent torque ratings up to 400 lb.ft. at the top two ratios and continuous ratings up to 280 lb.ft. Seventeen input gear sets cover most popular transmission configurations, and 12 output shaft options accommodate the pump types most commonly found in service trucks and vocational equipment.
