This belt tensioner is a component of the serpentine accessory drive belt system, fitting Navistar 1000, 4000, and 7000 Series applications as well as certain Mack platforms. It keeps the belt properly aligned and engaged with the pulleys to prevent slipping or noise. This is a PAI-made replacement for the accessory drive system.
