3MD543AM is a Mack intercooler core for all Mack CX model trucks, sold as 1 each and measuring 12.001 x 12.001 x 12.001 inches. An intercooler core cools the air the turbocharger has compressed before it reaches the engine, and cooler air is denser, so the engine takes in more oxygen on every intake stroke. When a core leaks or clogs, the first signs are reduced power on grades, poorer fuel economy and a whistle or hiss under load. Our parts manual lists it as a chassis mounting intercooler core in the truck cab cooling system. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission. Call us to confirm proper fit for your truck.
