This differential cone fits Eaton 440, 460, 480, and 461 axle series, including the DT and DP forward-rear configurations, and is also compatible with Mack and Navistar applications. It is built as a replacement for these axle assemblies, sold individually. Within the differential, the cone works with the spider gears to help distribute torque evenly between axle shafts while allowing wheel speed to vary through turns.
