This relay valve is built to the R-14H configuration and sold as a complete valve kit in a single-unit pack for heavy-duty air brake systems. Mounted near the brake chambers, it applies or releases air on demand, cutting the lag that would occur if the treadle valve alone controlled that air. It is a PAI-made replacement for trucks using this air brake setup.
