This mainshaft gear is a replacement for applicable Mack manual transmissions, sold individually. Mounted on the transmission mainshaft, it meshes with the countershaft gears to carry power through the selected gear ratio during shifts. It fits Mack platforms in place of the original mainshaft gear.
