This countershaft gear is built to Mack transmission specifications and is sold individually as a replacement for use in Mack transmission rebuilds. Inside the transmission, the countershaft gear carries rotational power between the input shaft and mainshaft, allowing gear ratios to change as gears engage and disengage. It is a PAI-made replacement designed to fit correctly in place of the original Mack gear.
