This pinion fits Eaton 440, 460, and 480 series axles, covering DT, DP, RT, RP, and RS forward-rear and rear-rear differential configurations. It is built as a replacement for use with Navistar applications as well. Inside the differential, it carries rotational force from the driveshaft to the ring gear, turning engine torque into axle rotation and allowing for a gear ratio change.
