Bendix 109477PG is an AD-IP air dryer, listed as a Puraguard Rx 12V unit for air brake systems. An air dryer works between the compressor and the tanks, pulling moisture and oil mist out of the supply air before it can attack the tanks, valves and brakes. A desiccant cartridge traps the moisture, and the dryer periodically purges what it collected out through the exhaust. Once the cartridge is saturated, water or oil turns up at the tank drains and air-line moisture can freeze in cold weather. A genuine Bendix part from Pro Gear and Transmission.
