Bendix 800887 is the AD-SP air dryer. It sits between the compressor and the rest of the air system and pulls water and oil out of the hot compressed air through a desiccant cartridge, so the valves and chambers downstream get dry air. It runs on 12 volts and carries a 90 watt heater and thermostat. On every compressor unload the dryer purges, sending air back through the cartridge to flush out what it collected. Water at the tank drains, oil at the purge exhaust, or a dryer that purges constantly or never purges means it needs attention. A genuine Bendix part from Pro Gear and Transmission.
