Bendix 802065 is an AD-IS air dryer for air brake systems. Installed in the supply line after the compressor, it strips water and oil vapor out of the air before that air can reach the tanks, valves and brakes. Air passes through a desiccant cartridge that captures the moisture, and each purge flushes what it collected back out. A dryer that is past its service life tends to show it as unusually wet or oily discharge when the tanks are drained, or as slow air build-up.
