975726N is a genuine Bendix air brake camshaft, left hand, sold by Pro Gear and Transmission. In an S-cam drum brake the camshaft turns with the slack adjuster, and its S-shaped profile pushes a roller on each shoe outward so the linings press against the drum. When air is released, the return springs pull the shoes back and carry the cam to rest. A camshaft that rocks in its bushings can show up as uneven shoe pressure, faster cam and roller wear, or a brake that pulls. Call us to confirm proper fit.
