Bendix 800139 is a QR-1 quick release valve for air brake systems. Mounted close to the brake chambers, it lets chamber air exhaust right at the valve instead of travelling back through the line to the brake valve, so the brakes let go faster. On a brake application, supply air moves a diaphragm to seal the exhaust; on release, the air beneath the diaphragm lifts it and opens the exhaust.
