The 283065N Bendix Horn Valve HV-3 is an air valve for a truck's horn circuit. A valve of this type controls how compressed air reaches the horn. When the control is worked, a supply valve inside the body opens and lets air flow on to the horn, where it sets a diaphragm vibrating to make the warning sound.
