The Chelsea 272XKAJX-13XV is a 6-bolt, hot shift Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 272 Series, designed for medium-duty truck applications including aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, and water truck work. The 272 Series supports intermittent torque ratings of 201 to 300 lb-ft (401 to 500 Nm) and is available with either pneumatic or hydraulic shift. The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates and replaces the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series medium-duty hot shift PTOs into a single unified platform. The series offers 9 speed ratios and 18 shift options, covering the most common direct-mount and driveshaft output configurations. Direct-mount versions are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output versions can be specified with the Smart-Start feature for applications requiring high-torque engagement at start-up.
