Chelsea 272 Series PTO Units
The Chelsea 272 Series is a Parker Chelsea PowerShift clutch type PTO for 6-bolt PTO openings, used on manual transmissions and on automatics including Allison and Aisin models. It shares parts bulletin HY25-2272 and its owner's manual with the Chelsea 282 Series.
272 Series features
- Hydraulic shift (12 or 24 volt electric/hydraulic) or air shift (manual air or 12 or 24 volt electric/air), with or without Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) on many options.
- Standard, deep, low profile and Aisin mountings, including versions for Ram trucks.
- Pressure lube, no pressure lube, or wet spline on hydraulic shift units.
- Shaft brake and SmartStart outputs, rotatable SAE A, B and C pump flanges, DIN 5462, or a 1410 series companion flange.
Find your exact unit
Start with the model number on the tag on your PTO. A 272 model number reads: series, mounting, gear ratio, input gear and lube option, then after the dash the shift option, assembly arrangement and output. For example, 272XBAJP-B3XD is a standard mount unit with pressure lube, 12 volt electric/hydraulic shift, assembly arrangement 3 and a 1-1/4 inch round shaft.
