The Chelsea 281GMFJP-G5BD is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) power take-off built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series mounts via a 10-bolt flange and carries a series continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft. The bearing cap is ductile iron, rated 117% stronger than the gray iron used in the predecessor 280 Series. The clutch pack features steel discs increased 80% in thickness for improved wear resistance, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load. Nine speed ratios are available across the series, including low- and high-speed options.
