The Chelsea 282XMAJX-B3XD is a medium-duty hot shift Power Take-Off from the 282 Series, an 8-bolt mount unit designed for demanding mobile equipment applications. The 282 Series supports intermittent torque ratings of 201 to 300 lb-ft (401 to 500 Nm) and delivers up to 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Shift options span pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) configurations. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options, with direct mount and driveshaft outputs available. The 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining the 238 Series architecture with upgraded components. Moving parts are rated to withstand up to 300 lb-ft intermittent or continuous. Direct mount configurations offer an optional Wet-Spline feature for extended PTO and pump shaft life. Driveshaft output versions include a positive stop to protect seals from driveshaft yoke damage. The series also supports a Smart Start option for high-torque startup situations.
