The Chelsea 489DCMBX-56XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths and cutting installation time. This PTO uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft of torque capacity, with output via a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
