The Chelsea 489DFMCX-V6XK is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing mounts to the 8-bolt transmission opening and eliminates the adapter plate that creates an additional leak path. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Output is via a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
