The Chelsea 489XLAHX-A5AK is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to manual transmission openings from Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path common to other designs. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft and uses wire/cable mechanical shift. Output is through a 1-1/4" round key shaft. Tapered bearings replace the needle bearings found in older designs, improving load-bearing capacity. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
