The Chelsea 489XSDAX-A5GF is a 489 Series Power Take-Off (PTO) built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity, and shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Intermittent torque rating for the series is 201-300 lb-ft. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal, and fire and rescue equipment.
