The Chelsea 489XWDUX-V3XY is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 489 Series is suited for aerial, vocational, and municipal equipment applications including utility trucks, dump trucks and trailers, snow and ice removal, and fire and rescue vehicles. The integral one-piece housing design eliminates the adapter plate found on some competing units, reducing potential transmission fluid leak paths. Tapered bearings are used in place of needle bearings for increased load-bearing capability. The series offers twenty-seven output options, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline wear and corrosion. Eleven internal speed ratios are available across the 489 Series family.Parts Manual: Chelsea 489 Series PTO Parts Manual (PDF) — exploded views, item numbers and the full parts breakdown for this series.
