The Chelsea 489XWEVX-P5XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to bolt directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings on applications including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path and cutting installation time. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Tapered bearings provide load-bearing capability suited to demanding vocational work such as utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
