The Chelsea 878XAFJP-M3RZ is a constant mesh Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 878 Series, built to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series delivers up to 670 lb-ft of torque in both intermittent and continuous duty applications, making it one of the most capable PTOs available in its size class. Key construction upgrades over the predecessor 877 Series include a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack. Nine speed ratios cover a wide range of output requirements. Common applications include refuse, vacuum, aerial, and snow and ice equipment. A genuine Chelsea part, available from Pro Gear and Transmission.

Additional Information
The 878 Series is Chelsea's evolution of the 877 Series PTO platform, engineered specifically to address vibrational loads from modern and future engine designs. The rotatable cast iron flanges reduce interference fitment issues during installation. The Wet Spline lubrication option extends output shaft service life by 7 to 10 times compared to standard configurations. A hose is included with the unit. Applicable markets include refuse trucks, vacuum equipment, aerial equipment, and snow and ice spreader or plow systems.Related Parker Chelsea documents: 878 Series Parts List HY25-2871-M1/US; 878 Series Owner's Manual (covers 267/281/288/871/878 Series); Chelsea PTO Stud Kits HY25-2002-M1_US.
