The Chelsea 489XSAHX-W3AF is a 489 Series Power Take-Off unit designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and uses wire/cable mechanical shift actuation. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. Fits most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec.
