The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off (part number 288GPFJW-M8RF or 288GPFJWM8RF) is a heavy-duty, 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. The 288 Series delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, made possible by wider gears and larger-capacity bearings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration damage from modern engine designs. The standard output shaft features a round shaft with 1-1/4" key and a positive stop that prevents oil seal damage from driveline couplings. The optional Wet Spline Lubrication provides 7 to 10 times greater pump shaft life. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications.
