The Chelsea 489CHAHP-M4XD or 489CHAHPM4XD is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This PTO shifts via wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with output power rated at 46-55 HP. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity, and internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
