The Chelsea 489DSMBX-56RK or 489DSMBX56RK is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off from Chelsea's 489 Series, designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating an extra leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Output is via a 1-1/4 inch round keyed shaft rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
