The Chelsea 489QLLZX-D3XK or 489QLLZXD3XK is a Power Take-Off assembly from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings found on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and similar transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating a common leak path. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201 to 300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The Chelsea 489 Series PTO is suited for utility trucks, dump trucks and trailers, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles. The series offers eleven internal speed ratios and twenty-seven output options, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with a greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline fretting and corrosion. Tapered bearings are used in place of needle bearings for increased load-bearing capability. Internal components are shared with the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying parts inventory for shops already familiar with that platform.
