Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate found on earlier designs and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft and shaft output of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability.
