The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XQAHX-A5AZ or 489XQAHXA5AZ, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, eliminating an extra potential leak path. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the 489 carries the same 250 lb-ft torque capacity as that platform. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. With eleven internal speed ratios and twenty-seven output configurations available across the series, the 489 suits a range of vocational applications including dump trucks, utility trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
