The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZRDAX-A5RK or 489ZRDAXA5RK, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings found on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and similar transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series is rated for 201-300 lb-ft intermittent torque and delivers up to 46-55 HP output. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
