The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489ZWDAX-V5XD or 489ZWDAXV5XD is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, reducing installation time and potential leak paths. This unit features a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an intermittent torque rating of 201 to 300 lb-ft. Output is via a 1-1/4-inch round keyed shaft. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for stronger load-bearing capability. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
