A cast iron housing with tapered cone bearings on the output shaft gives the series its intermittent torque capacity of up to 375 lb-ft. Tapered bearings on the input shaft replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. The series supports mechanical or wire/cable shift actuation and accommodates multiple output types, including SAE A, SAE B, and ISO 7652 pump flanges, plus driveline outputs.
