The 660 Series carries an intermittent torque rating up to 375 lb-ft (508 Nm), making it a step up from the 442 Series for high-demand work. A cast iron housing and tapered cone bearings on the output shaft contribute to its load-bearing capability, and tapered bearings on the input shaft replace the needle bearings found on lighter units. Shift options include wire/cable and mechanical actuation. The space-saving air shift cover is designed to maximize clearance under the truck.
