The Chelsea 221ZLAHX-W6XD or 221ZLAHXW6XD is a 6-bolt power take-off assembly from the Chelsea 221 Series, built for low-speed, heavy-duty applications including dump trucks, tow and recovery, and aerial equipment. It uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and mounts to Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Hino, and other compatible transmissions. The 1-1/4" round output shaft with keyway delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque (check application pages for actual rating) and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The cast iron housing is available in standard or low-profile configuration. Greaseable pump shafts reduce spline fretting and corrosion over time. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.

Additional Information

Chelsea 221 Series model break down
The Chelsea 221 Series PTO features tapered cone output bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs, and a cast iron housing built for heavy-duty vocational cycles. The space-saving air shift cover is designed to maximize clearance under the truck. Twenty-six output options are available across the 221 Series, including Chelsea's 360-degree rotatable flange. Three internal speed ratios and eleven shift options give fleet and upfit engineers flexibility across a wide range of applications, from dump and refuse trucks to tow and recovery and aerial units. A self-lube option is available for transmissions that have difficulty delivering lubrication to the PTO. Note: Parker Chelsea lists the 221 Series as no longer available (NLA/obsolete) in current production.
