The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272XAAJP-J3XD or 272XAAJPJ3XD, is a 6-bolt, hot-shift PTO designed for medium-duty commercial truck applications including aerial, construction, towing and recovery, and water truck service. It features a PowerShift pneumatic or hydraulic shift mechanism with an integral air control valve, and a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque is rated 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output is 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation, and the Smart Start option supports high-torque start-up conditions.
