The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off, part number 272XMESX-J3XD or 272XMESXJ3XD, is a 6-bolt hot-shift PTO built for medium-duty applications including aerial, construction, towing and recovery, and water trucks. It features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and shifts via pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent torque rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output is 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 272 Series consolidates the former 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series into a single platform with nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options.
