281GBFJP-B5RS Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 281GBFJP-B5RS or 281GBFJPB5RS, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. The 281 Series improves on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel clutch disc pack to resist premature wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. Wet Spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. SmartStart reduces start-up shock loads, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) safeguards driven equipment. Suitable for fire and rescue, refuse, truck crane, and pumper cleaner applications.
