The Chelsea 281GBFJP-B8XD or 281GBFJPB8XD is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 281 Series, designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and steel clutch discs that are 80% thicker than the previous generation. Nine speed ratios span both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce pump clearance issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times compared to standard. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects downstream driven equipment. Hose is included. A genuine Chelsea part sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
